Snowy Mountains Interschools Equestrian Competition (SMIEC) hosted by Snowy Mountains Grammar School

Snowy Mountains Grammar School is pleased to announce that they will be hosting the Snowy Mountains Interschools Equestrian Competition (SMIEC) at Dalgety Showground, Dalgety NSW 2628 from Saturday 4th May to Sunday 5th May 2024.

The competition will cater for all school children from Kindergaten to Year 12 with a varied program of events. These will include Dressage, Showjumping, Show Rider, Working Horse Challenge, and Sporting events. An individual High-point score in age groups and an overall School Pointscore will be in operation. Horseball will go ahead on Saturday if time permits - Please email Equestrian@smgs.nsw.edu.au with entries, teams need to consit of 4 riders from Juniors to Seniors.

Dalgety Showground is located on the banks of the Snowy River. Accomodation options include Buckleys Crossing Hotel and Snowy River Holiday Park, Camping is also available - Please note there is very limited power at the showgound. Dalgety Showground has steel yards that may be booked for the competition or competitors may choose to build their own yards at the venue. 

Entries and Yard Bookings will open on Thursday 4th April at 7pm.

Please make sure you select both Showground yards and the fee associated as well - this will complete your yard booking. Only booking 1 of the 2 will not secure a yard.

All Riders are reccomended to be financial members of Equestrian Australia, if not they will not be covered by EA insurance.
