No dogs allowed.
No height or breed certificates are required. Horses may go into as many classes as they are eligible for eg Stockhorse/ Arab can go in both the stockhorse and the Arab class
Attire: This is a relaxed show, but dress must be neat and tidy. Riders must wear jodphurs or moleskins, a shirt with sleeves and collar or ratcatcher, riding boots and EA approved helmet. ( see EA website for details on approved helmets) Helmets must be tagged. Tagging can be done on the day at 8.00am

The Clumper Class is open to heavy horses such as Clydesdale or Percheron crosses or Walers
The Coloured Horse class is open to appaloosas, palominos, paints buckskins and any other dilutes etc
Rider Ability Classes
Red: the rider can walk and trot, is maybe new to competition, a bit nervous, on a young horse, or coming back from injury. Riders in this ability class will not be expected to canter and will get lots of support.
Green: the rider can walk, trot and canter but is a bit nervous or riding a young horse or new to competition. Riders will be expected to canter but one at a time, not in a large group
Yellow: the rider is confident to walk, trot and canter. The rider has probably competed before and is happy riding in a group
The gate steward will hand out colour coordinated wristbands to riders to indicate at which ability level they are competing.
Plaiting and jackets are optional and will not affect the judges’ decisions.
There will be cold drinks available in the clubhouse via an honesty system.
The welfare of the horses during this show are the responsibility of the owners, so please ensure the horses have enough water and hay during the day as the committee of BRC put the welfare of the horses as top priority. As the weather is humid and hot please make sure your horse has plenty of opportunity for a drink during the show.
Fancy Dress
There will be a prize for the best Easter themed horse and rider. While riders are encouraged to ride in their costumes, there will be a parade at the end of the show for all themed riders and horses (so if you want to add something that you didn’t feel comfortable competing in, there will be a 10 minute gap after the last class and before the parade, for riders to complete their outfits)
Off the Track Thoroughbred Award
While the Thoroughbred class is open to all TBs, the award is only open to horses that have raced. Please ask the gate steward for a wristband before entering the Thoroughbred class.
