Equestrian in the Vines Show Horse and Fashions on the Field hosted by HorseSport Australia & The Thoroughbred Club of Australia
Cost for classes is $40 per horse and unlimited entries included. HorseSport Australia members receive a $5 discount from this fee. First Aid Levy for each rider is $5. Insurance Day levy of $5 for any competitor not a member of HorseSport Australia (HSA), Hunter Valley Showjumping Club (HVSJC), Wine Country Dressage Club (WCDC) or EA.
1. HorseSport Australia and Thoroughbred Events Australia will not be responsible for any accidents that may be caused through or by any exhibits and it shall be a condition of entry that each exhibitor shall hold HorseSport Australia and Thoroughbred Events Australia blameless and indemnified against any legal proceedings from any such accident.
2. HorseSport Australia and Thoroughbred Events Australia will not under any circumstances hold itself liable for any accidents on the ground or premises.
3. Exhibitors must supply persons competent to take charge of all horses.
4. Ridden classes will be judged under the EA Show Horse Rules. The Judge may disqualify from the competition any exhibit or competitor not conforming to the necessary requirements. Rules can be found here
5. Horse riding can be dangerous. All riders ride at their own risk.
6. All riders to be properly attired to meet with the approval of the Ring Stewards. Riders must wear a safety helmet that is current ASA compliant or equivalent. Competitors are responsible for compliance of helmets.
7. Fashions on the Field competitors must wear shoes with an enclosed toe
8. Unruly horses will be disqualified.
9. All protests must be in writing and accompanied by a fee of $50 and must be lodged with the horse convenor within 1 hour of the close of the event. The fee will be forfeited if the protest is dismissed. In the event of protest being upheld, the next placed combination will be elevated.
10. Where there is a clash in the timing of events, competitors must choose between classes, as the program cannot be delayed.
11. No refunds on scratching's.
12. HorseSport Australia and Thoroughbred Events Australia reserves the right to alter the programme without notice.
13. All prize money, prizes and/or awards to be collected on Show Day
14. It is the responsibility of the competitor to be familiar with the rules and conditions of entry for each class.
15. Hunter Classes are for those horses that carry more substance than an ordinary show hack. If a competitor competes in a Hunter class, they are not eligible to compete in Hack classes & Hacks may not compete in Hunter classes Horse and rider must be appropriately attired.
16. Amateur rider is defined as a rider who is primary source of income is not breaking, training, riding or coaching any horse or riding and not been remunerated (excluding prize money) above $500 for any services connected to training, breaking or riding of any other person’s horse or pony. The horse/pony must be primarily ridden and trained by the rider/owner with only periodic ridden assistance by person(s) other than the owner.
17. All thoroughbreds must be registered with the Stud Book and should compete with their registered racing name. If they are unnamed, they may compete under alternate show name
18. Property Identification Code (PIC) Numbers must be supplied if requested.
19. Consistent with its support for the Concussion in Sport Australia Position Statement Horse Sport and Thoroughbred Events Australia adopts the ‘If in Doubt, Sit them Out’ policy.
20. Classes will not be held for late competitors, please be aware of when your class is due to commence.
