RULES AND REGULATIONS

All Competitors must pay admisssion to the grounds

All or any Horse Events may be cancelled should the Dalby and District Show Society decide it necessary to do so

Horse Health Declarations and Indeminity Forms must be  handed in before competition commencement at the GJ Gardner Homes Office (opposite Stallion Boxes) on grounds 

No Refunds

The decision of the judge shall be final. All protests must be lodged in writing within 15 minutes of completion of class to the Chief Steward and accompanied by a cash deposit of $100, such amount to be forfeited if the protest be considered frivolous or vaxatious

LOCAL the horse and rider must reside within a 50km radius of Dalby or the town they reside in must observe the Dalby Show Holiday

The committee reserves the right to substitute or alter any events in the program

Series Guidelines

If a Rider has more than one horse in the class the first horse they ride is their points scoring round

The Riders best 6 Rounds will decide the Series Winner

Class Heights in the 1st Round will be approx 1.15m. Height will be stated on show schedules

Participants must meet the criteria fo the EA National Amatuer Ruling

All Events will be AM5 (jump off classes) exceptions approved by coordinator

The First 6 Places in each competition will gain points

Points allocated 1st 7 points, 2nd 5 Points, 3rd 4 points, 4th 3 points, 5th 2 points, 6th 1 point

If there is a equality of points at the end of the series the rider with the most consistent high placing throughout the series will become the series winner

To be eligible to be the Winner of the title you must be a current financial Member of Equestrian Queensland

Competition for Registered Studbook Thoroughbreds to compete

1 OTT/Thoroughbred (Off the Record) Registered Studbook Thoroughbred, Raced, Trialled and Unraced. Do not have to be EA Registered - Competition 80-100cm

2 OTT/Thoroughbred (On the Record) Registerd Studbook Thoroughbred, Raced, Trialled and Unraced. Must  be EA Registered - Competition 1.05cm to 1.20cm

RULES

Riders must be EA or PC Current members 2021 financial members

Studbook/Life Numbers to check validation

Both Off the Record and On the Record Horses have raced, trialled or Unraced and can be any age

Horses competing in On the Record Class must be EA registerd

Horse/Rider combinations can move between the heights but not on the same day

To be eligible, the Horse and Rider combination must compete in the two part challenge with first round Friday and second round Saturday

For the On the Record combinations the highest points gained will be taken from either classes 2a,3a or 4 Friday then from classes 7a or 8 on Saturday and added together. The combination with the highest total points from the two days will take the total prize of $400 (sponsored by Qld Racing) plus Rug (sponsored by Matt Kropp Racing)

For the Off the Record combinations the highest points gained will be taken from with classes 12a,12b or 13 Friday and then from classes 16 or 17 on Saturday and added together. The combination with the highest total points from the two days will take the total prize of $300 (sponsored by Racing Qld) plus Rug (sponsored by Matt Kropp Racing)

To gain points the combination must firstly (at the start of Friday's competition) NOTIFY that a horse is entering the OTT Challenge at the GJ Gardner Homes Office. Then over the 2 days of the show points will be allocated as per thoroughbred placements in the above said classes

VETERAN RIDERS

Veteran classes are classes for Athletes who:

* Reach their 45th birthday in the current year

* Who in the current year, have not taken part in any competition in which the height of the obstacles for the initial round exceeds 1.30m

* Must not have competed on any horse in a class higher than 1.05m for the initial round at THIS SHOW

* Must be current EA Members

This event is part of a series with Dalby Show. Highest points for horse/rider combimation from two rounds of series (Classes 7b and 17b at Warwick Show) and (Classes 1a and 7a  at Dalby Show) will receive $200 and a rug. A Shield with the Winners name engraved will be retained by Dalby and District Show Society

GUIDELINES FOR GREG GRANT UP AND COMING SERIES

* Horses must be EA registered

* Horses must be in their 1st or 2nd year of EA registration

* Horses must be owner ridden or leased

* Courses will be set at 1.05m maximum height in the 1st round, 1st fence to be no higher than 95cm (Second round 1.10m Max)

* Classes are run under Article 238.2.2

* All placegetters and double clear rounds will be eligible to compete in the finals at the end of the year

* A Greg Grant Saddlery Up and Coming Rug will be presented to the Winner of each class. Prizemoney to 6th place

THOROUGHBRED SPORT HORSE ASSOCIATION (TSHA) CLASSES

Thankyou for supporting the TSHA. To be eligible for TSHA Classes your Thoroughbred must be registered with the Australian Thoroughbred StudBook. No Part Bred Thoroughbreds will be eligible.

To compete in the Thoroughbred only classes you must purchase a competition license with the TSHA through Global Entries Online. The license costs $55 and runs for a calendar year from the date you purchase it.

How do I obtain my license?

The License can be obtained by logging into www.globalentriesonline.com.au

Click on the "TSHA License" button and fill in the details.

If you don't already have an account with Global Entries it is simple to create one and then follow the instructions above.

The license fee is for competition purposes only and is not proof of ownership. Any Prizemoney will be paid to the winning rider. Connections of the horse must organise the prizemoney split, if any, between themselves.

Any horses and riders competing in the TSHA Thoroughbred classes 1.05m and over must also hold EA registration.

 

CONDITIONS OF ENTRY FOR INTERSCHOOL RIDERS:

1. This event is being conducted under the rules as per the IQ Handbook 2021 and EA and FEI Rules where applicable. It is your responsibility to read your Handbook and be aware of these rules.

2. Riders and Horses must be registered with the Equestrian Qld.

3. IQ Qualifiers are FRIDAY only - only 1 class per height may be used as an IQ Qualifier.

4. All Riders before start of competition will need to provide their names at the GJ Gardner Office to be eligible. If your name is not on the paperwork you will not be included in the event and eligible to use the Qualifier for IQ Qual.
