AMATEURS AND VETERANS
Amateur Rider
May never have competed in a World Cup for jumping riders qualifying round.
May not have competed in jumping events, Section/Group 1(A) or 2(B), at a Royal Show in Sydney, Melbourne, Adelaide, Brisbane or Perth in the past two years.
May never have competed in a 4* Three day Event.
May never have competed at an Olympic Games or World Equestrian Games in Jumping or Eventing.
Athletes must be current EA members.
Riders may compete as amateurs from the beginning of the calendar year in which they turn 21 years of age.
Veteran Rider
May never have competed in a World Cup for jumping riders qualifying round.
May not have competed in jumping events, Section/Group 1(A) or 2(B), at a Royal Show in Sydney, Melbourne, Adelaide, Brisbane or Perth in the past two years.
May never have competed in a 4* Three day Event.
May never have competed at an Olympic Games or World Equestrian Games in Jumping or Eventing.
Athletes must be current EA members.
Riders may compete as veterans from the beginning of the calendar year in which they turn 45 years of age.
YOUNG HORSES
Horses born on or after 1/8/01 are eligible for the 8 year old bonus in the Gold Tour
Horses born on or after 1/8/02 are eligible for 7 year old Silver Elm Tour (C )
Horses born on or after 1/8/03 are eligible for Class 3 for 6 year old horses and the Bronze or Silver Elm Tours
Horses born on or after 1/8/04 are eligible for Class 5 for 4 and 5 year old horses. These horses are also eligible for the Bronze Elm Tour.
Objections
Objections must be addressed to the Ground Jury in writing accompanied by a deposit of $50 within the following limits:
· Objections against the eligibility of a competitor or horse, no later than 30 minutes before the start of the competition.
· Objections to an obstacle or to the course, the length or plan of the course, no later than 15 minutes before the start of the competition.
· Objections concerning irregularities or incidents during the competition, no later than 30 minutes after the announcements of results.
The period of jurisdiction of the Ground Jury extends from 1 hour before the start of the competition until 30 minutes after the announcement of the final results for which the Ground Jury has been appointed.
