GENERAL CONDITIONS
1. This event is organised in accordance with:
§ FEI Statutes, 22nd edition, effective 15th April 2007, updated 21st November 2008
§ FEI General Regulations, 23rd edition, effective 1st January 2009,
§ FEI Veterinary Regulations, 11th edition, effective 1st January 2009,
§ The Rules for Jumping Events and its Annexes, 23rd edition, effective 1st

§ FEI Anti-Doping Rules for Human Athletes (ADRHA), 2nd edition, revision
effective 1st January 2009,
§ All subsequent published revisions, the provisions of which will take precedence.
§ An arbitration procedure is provided for in the FEI Statutes and General
Regulations referred to above. In accordance with this procedure, any appeal
against a decision rendered by the FEI or its official bodies is to be settled
exclusively by the Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS) in Lausanne, Switzerland.
2. Competitors, or in the case of minors their parent or guardian, shall sign an indemnity form and agree to abide by conditions of competition and venue entry before competing.
LIABILITY: Neither the Committee nor the venue owner or lessees, nor any of the staff or agents shall be in any way liable for accident, injury, damage, loss or any matter that may happen for any causes or circumstances whatsoever to exhibitors, competitors, or members or their agents or to anyone on the grounds or to any animal or article exhibited or to any property brought on the grounds or for any other loss, claim, matter, circumstances or event whatsoever in connection with or arising out of or understood to be ‘The Elm’s’ Spring Jumping Classic or any journey to or from the event.
3. It is to be understood that under no circumstances shall the Committee, its agents, or employees be liable for any loss, damages, claims, or costs occasioned or suffered by any exhibitor, competitor or member directly, howsoever arising, including without imitation, losses, damages, claims or costs as a result of any negligence and you agree to indemnify and save harmless to the committee, the venue owner, lessees, their agents and employees from and against any liability out of any such loss, damages, claims or cost.
4. The Organising Committee (OC) reserves the right at their absolute discretion to accept or reject any entry, to limit entries, cancel any class without assigning reasons or to seed the order of starting where considered appropriate. The OC reserves the right to alter or amend any of the conditions, regulations, or any aspect of the event as they see fit.
5. The OC reserves the right to swab horses. Random swabbing of horses may be conducted from any class.
6. All riders and owners must be current financial members of the Equestrian Australia (EA).
All horses must hold current registration and showjumping grading Cards from EA. (Except Juniors, Young Riders, Amateur, Veteran and unofficial height classes)
7. All riders must wear riding boots and an approved helmet at all time whilst mounted. Australian helmet standards will apply. Please refer to EA Dress rule Article 256 1.5.1 for all official classes. Riders are required to wear white or light coloured breeches. No dark coloured breeches will be accepted.
8. The maximum height for the first round of each of the Series will be as written in the schedule. For the Jump Off or Second Round the height will be raised. The lift will not exceed 10cm.
9. The Organising Committee reserves the right to fine any athlete or their associate who after a warning continues not to uphold good sportsmanship and high professional standards. A fine of $50 will be issued.
An athlete will be required to pay the fine before being allowed to compete again whether at this show or at another show. Refer to Article 242 Fines. All fines are to be paid to the Organising Committee.
10. Dogs must be restrained at all times whilst on the Showgrounds.
11. Entries for all rings to be lodged with Global Entries Online and accompanied with full payment by the closing date Tuesday 24th November.
Late entries will be accepted provided they are submitted to the Secretary’s Office no later than 6.00pm on the day prior to the relevant class. Late entries must be accompanied with a fee of Double the entry fee.
Substitutions will also be accepted provided they are submitted to the Secretary’s Office no later than 6.00pm on the day prior to the relevant class. Substitutions will incur a $3.00 administration fee per entry.
12. Refunds. Full refunds less a $3.00 administration fee per entry will be given up to 6.00pm Wednesday 25th November. After this time a full refund less a $3.00 administration fee per entry will only be given if a veterinary or medical certificate is produced. No refund will be given for a missed class or a scratching not accompanied by a veterinary or medical certificate.
With the acceptance of entries it is expected all athletes have read and accepted the conditions of entry.
Competition rules and code of conduct apply across all rings throughout the duration of the Event .
